I was boxing/sparring and my ear is puffy and red/black?
I have trained MMA since 2006 and since my gym is like 1 hour train ride away and cost alot of money I always make the most and go straight from BJJ to Muay Thai to MMA each 1 hour lessons (BJJ varies with wrestling and muay thai with boxing) and after my sparring sessions I got hit hard on the ear and it was red then turned black the next day not to mention its like 2 times bigger than my other ear.
Cauliflour ear?
It’s possible. Cauliflower ear is caused by trauma to the ear. When the ear is struck and a blood clot develops under the skin, the connection of the skin to the cartilage is disrupted.
I would recommend you seek treatment asap, if you want to prevent deformation. Also cauliflower ear left untreated may develop an infection which could ultimately lead to hearing loss.
I’m not trying to scare you just letting you know the facts.
Get treated.
